There is no best TikTok LIVE agency for everyone: the best agency is the one that suits you. Check that the invitation goes through the TikTok app, ask who your fixed coach is, what you actually get, whether you have to pay anything and what is in writing. Also ask what happens if you want to leave later. Be wary of promises about promotion or boosts from TikTok and of anyone asking for your password.
This guide is for creators who do not have an agency yet and are considering one. What a TikTok LIVE agency is and how an invitation works is explained in our guide what is a TikTok LIVE agency. Below are the questions to ask before you accept an invitation. A good agency is happy to answer them.
1. Is the agency part of TikTok LIVE Creator Networks?
Agencies apply to TikTok to take part in TikTok LIVE Creator Networks. Joining goes through the TikTok app: the agency starts an invitation with your invitation code, and you read and accept that invitation yourself. Also ask for the agency's company details, so you know who you are working with.
2. Who is my fixed contact person or coach?
Ask who will support you, how you can reach that person and how quickly you get an answer. Do they speak your language, and does the agency know your market? If you live in Belgium or the Netherlands, an agency that knows that market and talks to you in your own language helps.
3. What do I actually get?
TikTok describes agencies as experts who help creators with personalised strategies, coaching sessions and active feedback. Ask what that means at this agency: how often is there coaching, is there training, does the agency plan battles for you, and do you get insight into your own numbers?
4. Do I have to pay anything?
Ask whether joining costs anything and whether any costs come later. Our advice: if someone asks for money to join, stop and ask for an explanation in writing first.
5. What about my Diamonds and any bonus?
Ask in plain language what happens to your Diamonds, whether the agency pays a bonus, what it depends on and when it is paid. Get it in writing. A good agency explains this without vague promises.
6. What is in writing (TikTok agency contract)?
Ask which terms apply and read them before you accept the invitation. Ask about anything you do not understand. Take your time: a good agency does not pressure you to decide quickly.
7. What does the agency expect from me?
Ask whether there are agreements on how often you go LIVE, on goals or on battles, and what happens if you do not reach them one month. Choose an agency whose expectations fit your life, your job or your studies.
8. What if I want to leave later?
Ask this before you accept, not afterwards. Have the agency explain how leaving works, what happens then and which TikTok rules apply. The public TikTok pages we read do not list those rules, so ask the agency where you can read them.
9. How does the agency treat my account and my viewers?
An agency never needs your password or a verification code. TikTok itself says it never asks for them. Also listen to how an agency talks about your viewers: giving is always voluntary, and a good agency teaches you to thank your viewers without putting pressure on them.
Also ask what the agency does when your account or LIVE gets banned. What you can do yourself is in TikTok account banned: what to do?
10. What does the agency promise?
An agency cannot arrange promotion or extra reach from TikTok. If an agency promises guaranteed growth, a boost or promotion from TikTok, treat it as a warning sign. Honest promises are about what the agency does itself: coaching, explanations, support.
